Balticca

Campaign concept & art direction for Balticca.

Every lamp, its own story.

Together with Polish illustrator Mary Zaleska, we created a distinctive visual campaign for the whole Balticca collection: a set of brand visuals, plus a dedicated artwork for every lamp, so each piece tells a story of its own.

Balticca

Balticca is a family-run Polish studio where every luminaire is drawn and built by hand in its own atelier. Each piece is shaped from a single kind of wood — American walnut or oak — so no two are ever quite alike.

Balticca lamps are half light, half sculpture. A product shot shows what they look like; we wanted to show what they feel like. So instead of one campaign image, each lamp got its own little world, drawn by hand — and then we put it next to the real thing.

Story first, product second

Black Mamba — matte black with a warm glow — became a lone player walking out of the dark. Puerto set sail for the sun. Each artwork sits beside its photo, so the collection reads as one family: a story on one side, the real lamp on the other.

Like a campfire

In the end, Balticca isn’t really about lamps. It’s about what happens underneath them — a long dinner, a conversation that runs past midnight, people leaning in a little closer. The way it once was around a campfire: something to gather around, and a reason to let the evening run long.
